HyperVM Announcement

June 9, 2009

We are very saddened at the news of the death of K T Ligesh, CEO of LXLabs and we pass our deepest condolences on to his family and friends at this dreadful time.

The market has been made aware of several security flaws in HyperVM, the details of which at present are bleak.

iFuse Hosting has immediately restricted access to HyperVM to its staff members only.  Any client(s) who are using our virtual private server services will be contacted shortly with further information regarding which product we will be switching to.

Any client who requires access to HyperVM, please post a support ticket. We would ask anybody who is in a position where they believe they require such access to bear in mind the effect this may have on security and for that reason we will need solid justification as to why this is the case.  We will be the sole arbirter as to whom can access HyperVM whilst it is unstable.

We ask customers to be patient but also realise that the risk to security is now minimised because iFuse Hosting staff members are the only individuals who can access HyperVM on our network.

All dedicated customers using HyperVM will have to implement their own security policies.

Thank you.

cPanel Issues Resolved

February 24, 2009

We’ve just received notice from the cPanel team that the update has been fixed, as such we’re currently updating cPanel on all our shared hosting servers. I’ll update this post as and when we know if the update has been successful. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Update: The issue has now been resolved!

Due to an issue with the latest cPanel update, between the hours of 23:19 (24th February 2009) and 07:31 (25th February 2009) some clients may have had limited cPanel access. cPanel have been notified of the issue and a fix is currently in the works; as an intermediary solution, we’ve rolled the update back to the previous release version and so this problem shouldn’t cause anyone any issues.

If you have any concerns or queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us, either by the support desk, live support or calling us.

Happy Valentine’s Day

February 14, 2009

We’d like to take this opportunity to wish all our clients a happy valentine’s day and announce our undying love for every single one of them.

In the spirit of the day, boxes of chocolate and bottles of wine can be directed to our office address.

Privacy in Emails

January 26, 2009

Although iFuseHosting is by its very nature a non-political organisation, we have heard concerns about the UK Government’s plans to log and record all emails sent by UK citizens in the country.  As a response to this, as soon as the Home Office confirm the date of logging to start, iFuseHosting will immediately be providing SSL encrypted US-stored email services to all our clients on request at an additional cost.

These services will also be available as a separate product.

This should provide adequate measures for you to ensure your privacy is protected until such a time where the database is decommissioned, if ever.

Coming Soon: Whitelabel VPS

January 2, 2009

As part of 2009’s new line-up, we’re going to be changing all our VPS packages and servers to be completely whitelabel - right down to the IP entries as well as server names.  Watch this space.

Well, the Season is finally upon us and it’s hard to believe that there are only 2 more sleeps ’til Santa comes to town.

Hopefully you all received your Christmas cards.

As a sidenote, our support promise remains constant throughout the Christmas period, and the support desk will be open and replying to tickets as and when required — with our usual staff.  However, livechat will not be available from 5 PM Christmas Eve until Saturday 27th - we ask all clients to post support requests on the desk.  Telephone support will be available on a 3-hour ringback effort over these dates during its usual opening hours.

Once again, we hope you have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
